Now trying wet blending techniques on the hair, but becoming very comfortable with drawing small details like the checkerboard pattern now.  Also, instead of doing the lightning effect on the flat of the Darksaber blade like I’ve seen people do, highlight the edges with bright silver.  Then you’ll get that glowing effect while still keeping it black.
